with each of these exercises to squeeze your shoulder blades together and to keep the upper shoulder
muscles (Trapezius muscle) relaxed – avoid tensing, or shrugging, the shoulder muscles during these
exercises.

• Resistance bands - Can be purchase at your local sporting goods store, home healthcare store or
physiotherapy clinic. Different color bands indicate different amounts of resistance in the band.
Consider starting with the lightest band and gradually work your way up as your pain improves.

If you have scheduled surgery with one of our team of specialist, this video will help you prepare and understand what to expect on the day of your surgery.
Once you are discharged from the hospital, you will be required to wear a sling. Instructions and length of wear will be advised by your Shoulder Surgeon and/or Physiotherapist. This video will teach you how to properly place the sling on your surgical arm.
